Privacy Policy
Effective Date: August 14, 2026 | Last Audited & Updated: 2026/2027 Tax Year Cycle
UKPath.com ("UKPath", "we", "our", or "us") values your privacy. Resume building, ATS checking, cover letter generation, and tax calculation tools process text client-side directly inside your web browser. We do NOT sell user personal data or store private candidate documents on server databases.
1. Introduction & Data Controller Information
This Privacy Policy applies to all visitors, users, and clients of UKPath.com ("Platform"). It sets out our practices regarding the collection, use, maintenance, protection, and disclosure of information under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the Data Protection Act 2018 (DPA 2018), the EU GDPR, and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA / CPRA).
The data controller responsible for your personal data is UKPath Digital Operations. If you have any questions regarding this Privacy Policy or wish to exercise your legal data rights, contact our Data Protection Lead at privacy@ukpath.com.
2. Client-Side Local Data Processing
Unlike traditional web applications, UKPath's interactive career suite (including the Resume Builder, ATS Resume Scanner, STAR Interview Generator, Resignation Builder, and UK PAYE Calculator) operates utilizing client-side JavaScript execution:
- No Server Resume Storage: Texts, employment history, names, phone numbers, or email addresses entered into our candidate tools are processed locally in your device's browser runtime environment.
- Browser LocalStorage: Drafts may be temporarily persisted in your own web browser's HTML5 LocalStorage to prevent loss of work between sessions. You can clear this data at any time by clearing your browser cache.
3. Information We Automatically Collect
When you browse UKPath.com, standard technical server logs and telemetry data are automatically collected by our infrastructure providers (e.g., Vercel Cloud Infrastructure and Cloudflare):
- IP Address (anonymized/hashed for security monitoring)
- Browser type, operating system, and hardware architecture
- Referring URLs, requested endpoints, and timestamps
- Aggregated clickstream analytics and page performance data
